- Dr. Eduardo Duran (Apache/Tewa), clinical psychologist, Indian Health Service, Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Dr. Tassy Parker (Seneca) from University of New Mexico, Department of Anthropology
- Dr. Joseph Trimble (Lakota), Professor of Psychology at Western Washington University and Distinguished Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University

In addition to Native consultants, non-Native consultants who have expertise in alcohol abuse, HIV risk behaviors, and stressful life events assist in providing methodological advice to the HONOR Project. These consultants include:
